Carroll Highlands self-storage proposal

Showed photos of the proposed building's view from her home on Panorama Drive, said the project 15 feet from her property line has taken a mental and physical toll, and asked the commission to rezone the parcel C-1.

A 36-year Carroll Highlands Road resident cited the 2019 zoning modernization meetings and the Freedom plan's promise not to transform communities against homeowners' will, and asked the commission not to let the project advance on inappropriately zoned property.

Adjacent property owner said the site simply doesn't belong there, noted the BZA recently cited the Freedom plan in a denial, and highlighted the consultant's findings that storage belongs in C-3 zones with buffers near homes.
