Bradleys Preserve Subdivision (P-24-0019)
JGK LLC proposes five new residential lots east of Cherry Tree Lane and north of Bartholow Road in the Mount Airy area. Concept review only at this stage.
Westminster Annexation #72 for Sheetz store
An informational briefing on the City of Westminster's proposed annexation involving R&E I, LLC. No county action is taken — the commission just gets briefed.
Robert Moton African American Museum
The Friends of Robert Moton are turning the former Robert Moton High School space into a museum of African American history and education in Carroll County. The MOU addendum moves the project forward, with facilities planning meetings to follow.
Mobile home park expansion — Westminster
Owners of the Anchor at Ziles Park wanted to add six trailers to a grandfathered seven-trailer park on 5.1 acres in an agricultural zone. Neighbors fought it over traffic, wells, septic, burning, and property values, and the board said no.
Closed-Session Land Acquisitions
Behind closed doors, the Board approved two purchase offers and denied one for three properties being acquired for public purposes.
EOTC Bachman Valley Final Site Plan
The EOTC church site on narrow, rural Bachman Valley Road would draw up to 500-plus worshippers and buses with no state-required traffic study. The sheriff and residents say the road and shared driveway can't safely handle it — the commission agreed to delay until a traffic study and fire/EMS review are done.
Harvest Creek subdivision and Ridge Road traffic
A 137-lot cluster subdivision in Marriottsville got final approval for its first 79 lots. Ridge Road is flagged 'approaching inadequate' for traffic — a yellow warning, not a red light — and testing showed it stays there even counting every future home. Residents worry about density and traffic, and the county may need to fund road connections through the CIP.
Mount Airy sports complex annexation (Elite Baseball)
Design work for restoring and rebuilding the Sports Complex is moving forward under a $393,716 contract with Site Resources, Inc. — though Commissioner Krebs voted no.
